1CV Initial Setup - 3. Equipment / Kits

1CV offers a rich and flexible way to manage equipment. Follow the notes below to ensure you get the best out of the system

Last updated on 17 Nov, 2020

To setup kits correctly, configure the system in the following order...

  1. Document Types

  2. Assign documents to categories

  3. Create library of item types

  4. Create box templates (Optional)

  5. Create kit types

Document Types

In a similar way to personnel, it is possible to monitor documents for different types of equipment. For example, export documents for weapons and other controlled goods. Add all types of documents required to this list.

Assign documents to categories

Once the list of documents has been created, you can assign the document types to item categories. For each category select the documents that you wish to track.

Create library of item types

Before kits can be created, it is required to setup a "Library" of different item types you will be recording in the system.

Box Templates

When initially setting up kits, it is likely that there will be a lot of items to add to the system. To prevent overwhelming the creation process it is possible to create templates of a typical box to allow for a faster input of data.

Create box templates by clicking the items that normally exist in a box (multiple items of the same type can be added). These can then be selected at the kit creation stage to automatically populate a new box.

Create Kit Types

You can track all kinds of equipment in 1CV. Add all the different categories of kit here. For example, 3 Man Weapons, 4 Man Body Armour etc.
